Please pray for our

Clients that we serve, that they would choose life, and for those of them who do not know Christ to come to salvation.

California Attorney General Rob Bonta has filed a lawsuit against Heartbeat International (HBI) and RealOptions Obria Medical Clinics in California state court, particularly targeting HBI's activities through the Abortion Pill Rescue© Network—which includes their Abortion Pill Reversal hotline and network of over 1,300 Abortion Pill Reversal providers, clinics, and hospitals.

The State of California’s complaint alleges that HBI and RealOptions are sharing “false or misleading statements,” as well as engaging in “unlawful, unfair, and fraudulent business practices,” for providing information about and access to Abortion Pill Reversal to pregnant women in need. California Attorney General Bonta is seeking a permanent injunction against HBI and RealOptions, to prevent them from sharing their science-based, life-affirming message about the benefits, success, effectiveness, and safety of Abortion Pill Reversal. The state is seeking civil penalties (reported figures range from more than $20 million to more than $25 million combined) plus injunctive relief restricting the organizations’ statements about the protocol. Providing the protocol itself remains legal in California.

No ruling has been issued. After closing arguments on September 17, 2026, the bench trial was submitted for decision. Under California procedure, the court has up to 90 days to issue a ruling, so a decision is expected by mid-December 2026.

Attorney General Bonta’s office issued a statement the same day closing arguments concluded, saying the evidence supported the state’s position and that it looked forward to the court’s decision. Defense counsel (Thomas More Society) argued the speech is non-commercial, religiously motivated, protected by the First Amendment, not shown to be false or misleading, and that the state identified no harmed consumer or complaint after discovery and trial. Both sides submitted post-trial briefs in late August.

As of September 28, 2026, coverage from both the Attorney General’s office and defense-aligned sources (Thomas More Society, Pregnancy Help News, and others) confirms the matter remains pending with the judge. No injunction, penalty award, or dismissal has been entered.

Please pray:

  • Pray that Heartbeat and RealOptions would have a favorable ruling.

  • Pray that the Lord surrounds this case within the workings of the legal system, dispelling false narratives and ensuring a just, righteous, and fair ruling.

  • Pray for renewed strength, protection, and peace for the doctors, nurses, and helpline staff who answer the calls of distressed mothers every hour of the day.

  • Pray that women seeking to reverse a chemical abortion will continue to find help, hope, and the courage to sav their babies despite the state's efforts to suppress the truth.
